College of Engineering & Computing faculty named recipients of this year’s Rewarding Excellence in Teaching Incentive (RETI) Award. The RETI Award was established by the Office of the Provost through the Office of Faculty Leadership and Success in 2021.
What is it? This award for teaching excellence is a part of the Evaluating and Rewarding Teaching Initiative. The RETI awards are intended to recognize faculty working to create learning-centered, inclusive classroom experiences by using evidence/information from their classrooms to inform instructional design and practice. This award provides faculty with the opportunity to build their teaching excellence portfolio. The RETI Award may serve as a foundation for future awards such as the Faculty Senate, Gateway, and/or Adjunct Teaching Awards. This year we have eighteen (18) $2000 awards recognizing excellence in learning-centered, inclusive, and evidence-based teaching and four (4) $1000 awards recognizing emerging work reflective of intentional instructional design and/or practices.
Congratulations!
