Hassan H. Eldeeb, electrical and computer engineering doctoral candidate and graduate research assistant at FIU’s Energy Systems Research Laboratory (ESRL), has received two majors awards from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Eldeeb, a doctoral student whose research interests include the design, control and diagnosis of electric machines and electric drives, and energy storage systems for transportation electrification applications, received the Outstanding Research Paper Presentation Award at the 2019 Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC), held in Anaheim, California and the Best Student Poster Award at the 2018 and 53rd IEEE Industry Application Society (IAS) Annual Meeting, held in Portland, Oregon.
