In the MS in Computer Engineering program, our curriculum is designed to help you master specialized knowledge in advanced technological subfields, including:

Program Options

Thesis
The program offers both thesis and non-thesis options. The thesis track includes 24 hours of coursework, a minimum of 6 semester credit hours of Master’s Thesis and a final examination that includes an oral defense of the thesis.

Non-Thesis
The Non-Thesis option includes 6 credit hours of electrical engineering math courses, 12 credit hours of electives and 12 credit hours from two of the following concentrations:
- Computer Systems and VLSI
- Machine Learning
- AI and Big Data
- Robotics
- Network Security

Track
The MS in Computer Engineering offers two additional tracks: Robotics and Network Security Online. The Robotics track is a non-thesis option which requires 18 credits hours of required courses and 12 credit hours of electives. For more information, please view the University Catalog.
