Student Research Initiatives

Biomedical engineering combines not one, but two research-focused fields. To help students succeed, the department offers students several opportunities to gain hands-on experience that prepares them for careers in both academia and industry.

Senior Design Showcases

Biomedical engineering seniors complete two senior design showcases before graduation. The first focuses on biomedical engineering, while the second is part of the College of Engineering & Computing Senior Design Showcase. These events let students present their research to both specialized and multidisciplinary audiences.
