Builders of Tomorrow

The Moss School of Construction offers the Builders of Tomorrow Summer Program, which is a free summer program for students in grades 10-12.

The 2026 Builders of Tomorrow Summer Program will take place on August 3 – 7, 2026

At Builders of Tomorrow, students explore construction management and construction technologies through hands-on projects, job site visits and real-world construction experiences.

Students can choose from two exciting tracks:

Construction Management Track

Students will explore how major projects are planned, managed, and delivered while developing essential skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, budgeting, and problem-solving. Learn how construction managers turn ideas into reality and lead teams to success.

Construction Technology Track

Discover the innovation shaping the future of construction. Students will explore how advanced software and emerging technologies drive efficiency, safety, and creativity in construction today. This track highlights the powerful connection between technology and building.

Activities will bring all participants together while also offering specialized workshops tailored to each track.

FAQ

Why attend a STEM-related camp focused on construction management?
Construction managers take a designer’s vision and bring it to life.
Construction management offers strong job placement, high starting salaries and exciting career paths. It’s a great choice for students who enjoy teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, technology and improving the world around them.
Where will the program take place?
Builders of Tomorrow is held at the FIU Engineering Center, 10555 W. Flagler St., Miami, FL 33174.
Is there a cost to attend the program?
No. This summer program is free.
How does my teacher or counselor submit the required recommendation letter?
A letter of recommendation is required for the application review. Closer to the event, we will provide a link to submit your letter of recommendation.
What is the attire for camp participants?
Participants should wear comfortable, casual clothing. For the job site visit, you must wear:
- Closed-toe sneakers
- Camp T-shirt (provided)
- Jeans or pants
- Safety vest (provided)
- Hard hat (provided)
What are the hours of the summer program?
Drop-off begins at 8:30 a.m. The last session ends at 3 p.m. for pick-up.
Will breakfast and lunch be provided?
Yes. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided each day.
What is the schedule of the program?
The agenda will be shared closer to the start of the program.
Will I be required to attend the entire program?
Yes. Students must attend all days to get the full experience.
Will transportation be provided to the summer program?
Transportation details will be shared closer to the start of the program.
