The Office of Faculty Affairs partners with FIU leadership and department chairs in the College of Engineering to support faculty across every stage of their academic careers, with an emphasis on strengthening professional growth, research impact, scholarship, and teaching effectiveness.

We acknowledge that engineering faculty engage in multiple, evolving roles throughout their careers, including: conducting research that advances both foundational and applied engineering knowledge; teaching and mentoring students in classroom, laboratory, and experiential settings; contributing professional or industry expertise to applied problem-solving; and providing academic leadership through service on committees, program coordination, and administrative responsibilities.
