The MS in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence at FIU is a professional graduate program that teaches how to extract insight from data in various forms. Specialization Tracks

The MS in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence program consists of 5 specialization tracks, each designed to support different career paths. The currently available specialization tracks are:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Business Analytics
  • Biostatistics Data Analytics
  • Computational Data Analytics
  • Public Policy Analytics

Students must select a specialization track and complete five courses within its area of study. Each track requires a capstone course involving a data analytics project spread over two semesters. For more information on specialization track eligible courses, view the University Catalog.

Program Information

  • Application Requirements
    • 4-year bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, information technology, computer science, statistics or mathematics, from an accredited institution
    • Submit the FIU Master’s Program Online Application, which will ask you to submit:
      • Official transcripts of all previously earned college or university credits
      • A statement or letter of intent
      • Three letters of recommendation
      • A statement of objectives
      • Resume or CV

  • International Students

    International students should refer to the FIU International Admissions site for additional instructions on how to apply or enroll as a first-time or transferring international student.

  • STEM Designation

    The Master of Science in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence  is a STEM-designated program. After program completion, international students have the opportunity of Optional Practical Training (OPT), which allows students to work within the U.S. for up to 36 months (one year of OPT + two years of STEM OPT) for STEM designated programs.
