Academic advising is an essential and critical resource for any college student.  Our advisors help FIU students find and employ the resources and tools that our college and university offer to meet their needs, achieve academic goals and get the most of the college experience. They support our students with career planning, course selection and registration, resolution of academic issues, financial aid, coaching about future career and employment opportunities and referral to appropriate campus-based resources for assistance in areas of student need outside the scope of academic advising.

Every admitted FIU student has an assigned professional advisor; they should meet with their assigned academic advisor at least once per semester. Students can contact their advisor most effectively via FIU’s Panther Success Network (PSN) – a platform that will allow you to connect with members of your FIU Success Team including your academic advisor, success and career coaches.  PSN is easily accessed by logging on to your “My FIU account”.  For an optimal experience, we recommend using the latest versions of either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. For step by step instructions on how to access and use PSN, please download the student manual.
