Biography
With over a decade of experience in higher education advising, I am dedicated to supporting student success through personalized guidance, strategic planning, and holistic development. Since 2014, I have served as an academic advisor, and since 2019, I have been part of the advising team at Florida International University (FIU), where I help students navigate academic requirements, explore career pathways, and achieve their educational goals.
In addition to my advising responsibilities, I teach First-Year Experience (FYE) courses, helping new students transition to university life by fostering academic skills, self-awareness, and a sense of community.
My advising and teaching philosophy centers on empowerment, collaboration, and continuous growth. I actively engage in professional development and have presented at NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising, contributing to conversations on best practices and innovation in academic advising.
Committed to creating inclusive, student-centered environments, I strive to make a meaningful impact on both individual learners and the broader academic community.
