Biography
As Executive Director of Technology at FIU’s College of Engineering and Computing, I oversee high-performance computing services, research IT infrastructure, and technology-driven initiatives that support faculty, students, and industry collaborators. I design strategic efforts to secure competitive grant funding, drive AI-powered research innovations, and develop industry-academic partnerships that advance workforce development and experiential learning. Through initiatives like the Tech Talent Academy, Innovation Complex, CEC Strategic Plan, and AI-driven simulation and training research grants, I strengthen FIU’s role as a leader in computing education, applied research, and industry engagement.
I co-lead the Tech Talent Academy (TTA), an initiative that bridges the gap between academic learning and industry demands by equipping students with open-source software development experience, micro-credentials, and direct employer engagement. By the end of 2025, we aim to help 500+ CS students secure tech jobs while strengthening FIU’s ties with top employers.
