Biography
Shih-Ming Lee, Professor of Practice
Lee joined FIU in 1986 and has served in a variety of leadership roles, including Department Chair from 1993 to 2011, and the Director for the Division of External Programs in the Engineering College. He is an expert of industrial systems engineering and manufacturing automation. He has extensive teaching and consulting experience in both fields, from robotic assembly, applied operations research, industrial financial decisions, production operations, technology management, and engineering management. He has been an active participant in these professional organizations, in addition to being fully engaged in developing new courses and growing academic programs at all levels at FIU.
