Biography
Jennifer Albert is an Associate Professor in the Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering & Computing Education, Systems, and Management (ESM). She received her Ph.D. in Science Education from North Carolina State University and has an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Austin Peay State University. Her work includes areas of STEAM educational evaluation and research, with an emphasis on PK-12 computer science teaching and learning, educational technology, and STEAM classroom implementation. She currently serves as a PI on several NSF grants focused on K12 computer science education, specifically integrating computational thinking and AI. She has been PI or co-PI of other NSF funding around topics including: Noyce Track 3 - developing rural Master Teachers in Computer Science and Math, CyberCorps, STEM+C & CSforAll RPP - infusing computational thinking into K-12 content area teaching. She taught high school science, and now teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses.
