Biography
Hafiz Abid Mahmood Malik is a distinguished academician and Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA), UK, with a Ph.D. in Computer Science. He brings over 12 years of multinational teaching experience across international and national universities, where he has taught a broad range of computer science courses, including Java, Python, C, C++, Data Structures, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity.
Malik maintains a strong and impactful research profile, marked by significant recognition and achievement. He was honored with the Best Researcher Award (2023) during his tenure as Associate Professor at Arab Open University, Bahrain, and received the Best Teacher (2013) Award at a national college. His scholarly excellence is further reflected through two Best Paper Awards (2016 & 2018) at international conferences and gold and silver medals in national and international research poster competitions. He has published numerous solo and co-authored research articles that have received wide academic recognition.
Actively engaged in global scholarly and professional communities, Malik served as editor-in-chief for international journals and as an editorial board member for several others. A frequent keynote and invited speaker, he has also chaired international conferences and contributed extensively as conference secretary, reviewer, and member of technical and programme committees.
A dedicated member of various professional communities, such as IEEE and ACM, Malik has demonstrated notable leadership by serving as Vice-Chair for Student Activities of the IEEE Bahrain Chapter. He has also contributed to academic quality assurance as an external examiner and programme evaluator with multiple international universities.
