Debra Davis

Biography

Dr. Debra Davis is an Associate Teaching Professor at Florida International University (FIU) in the School of Computing and Information Sciences. She has an extensive background in both Computer Science and Psychology, holding advanced degrees in these fields, including a Ph.D. in Cognitive Developmental Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on human-computer interaction, applied usability studies, and developmental psychology. Dr. Davis is also a founding faculty member of FIU’s Discovery Lab, where she collaborates on projects related to usability, spatial data systems, and applied technology for real-world problem-solving.
