Chen Chen

Biography

Chen Chen, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor at the Knight Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences. His research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), eXtended Reality (XR), and Accessibility, aiming to understand how XR and AI can seamlessly extend our thoughts, behaviors, and activities by augmenting today's information interaction experiences. Chen's research has been published in multiple top-tier HCI, XR, Accessibility, and Mobile Computing conferences and journals. His work has received several prestigious honors, including the Distinguished Paper Award from ACM IMWUT/UbiComp, the Best Paper Honorable Mention Award from ACM CHI, the Best Poster Award at ACM SenSys, and finalist recognition for both the Adobe Research Fellowship and Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship. He is a former researcher at Microsoft Research, Adobe Research, and Carnegie Mellon University.
