The College of Engineering and Computing is proud of its growth and accomplishments in recent years. Our research has grown an impressive 26 percent over the last three to four years, and our rankings have jumped 20 points. We rank #1 in the continental U.S. in awarding bachelor’s and master’s degrees to Hispanic students, and #6 in awarding bachelor’s degrees to African-Americans.
Our students are committed to excellence and have demonstrated that they are worlds ahead in innovation and creativity. Our faculty are leaders in their research areas. Nearly 15 percent of our 119 tenured/tenured-track faculty are fellows in their respective fields, 17 have received prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER Awards, and two are members of the National Academy of Inventors.
