FIU researchers recently showcased their cutting-edge innovations at the nation’s largest defense-technology conference, with a spotlight on the work of Dr. Stavros Georgakopoulos, professor and director of the Transforming Antennas Center. Georgakopoulos’ groundbreaking reconfigurable, foldable antennas—designed for seamless deployment in the field or even outer space—were among the technologies capturing the attention of defense officials and industry leaders during the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) annual meeting in Washington, D.C.
