A partnership between the College of Engineering and Computing and ProTrain is helping to bring quality training to students that meets national, regional and local requirements leading to careers in high-demand fields.
ProTrain meets the needs of learners through professional development, certificates, classroom and online training with mentors available to guide students. Course offerings are ideal for both career entry and career advancement opportunities.
Served industries include information technology, business, leadership and industrial and skilled trades. ProTrain offers training in some of the most valuable skills on the market today, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). In 2022, an entry-level professional with AWS skills earned between $70,000 and $90,000 per year, while a senior-level AWS professional earned more than $135,000 per year.

“The ProTrain partnership gives us the opportunity to provide quality training and certifications. Our FIU CEC students and alumni are all around the world, and with ProTrain, we can stay connected with them by providing workforce-driven training programs online,” said Natalie Del Sol, program director of the Division of External Programs at the College of Engineering and Computing.
