More than 600 K-12 students came to FIU on Friday, February 3 to learn about the endless possibilities of pursuing a degree in engineering and computing. Participants learned about the thrill of motorsports competitions, the art of 3D printing, the power of wind tunnel testing and more.

Three dozen College of Engineering and Computing volunteers helped to facilitate more than 20 activities. In the end, the students from local schools came away with a major takeaway: academic success can lead to awesome experiences.

The 2023 Engineering Expo was sponsored by 3M, BOSCH, Stellantis, and Lockheed Martin. Collaborations were coordinated with FROST Science Museum, Miami Dade Public Libraries, and Zoo Miami.
