The Advanced Materials and Engineering Research Institute (AMERI) at FIU’s College of Engineering and Computing supports research that spans across the various science and engineering disciplines, enabling the future of materials for energy, sustainability and health. From new materials for batteries and energy storage, to lightweight metallic alloys and corrosion resistant ceramic coatings, to breakthroughs in the treatment of cancer and Parkinson’s disease, to improved methods to detect and treat HIV.
