Cutting-edge research is conducted both independently and in partnership with leading corporations and academic institutions, with $50 million in external funding in 2001-2006 from a variety of government and corporate sources.

The College of Engineering and Computing emphasizes research as a major component of its mission through research centers, institutes and laboratories.

The College provides outstanding research opportunities for graduate students and embeds significant research experience in its undergraduate curriculum.
